Pinot Noir is a grape variety near and dear to our hearts. While other varietals continue to increase their allure and success across the Willamette Valley, it's no accident that Pinot Noir has remained the crown jewel of this growing region. We're so excited to share our latest iteration, sourced from a single organically farmed vineyard planted over 800 feet elevation in the Chehalem Mountains of Oregon - one of my absolute favorite pockets to grow Pinot Noir in the entire country.
With smooth, well integrated tannins and loads of generous fruit and spice on the nose and palate, this wine is incredibly friendly in its youth. We destemmed all of the grapes here and ferment using only the ambient yeast. Aged for 14 months in neutral oak and terracotta amphora which truly allows the beauty of the growing season and purity of the fruit to shine through.
We're immensely proud of this latest expression as it serves as our swan song working with Willamette Valley Pinot Noir. It made the journey cross country in barrel right beside us and we're so excited to share it with you!
